Stay Hydrated

Having clean pillowcases plays a significant part in having and maintaining clean skin. Pillowcases should be changed or washed every 3-6 days. Dermatologist Elizabeth Bahar Houshmand states silk pillowcases are excellent options for those with acne-prone and sensitive skin because they are less abrasive and don't remove moisture from the skin. You will also feel luxurious with silk pillowcases.

Wear Sunscreen

Incorporating sunscreen into your everyday routine is a must. Sunscreen protects your skin from the sun. According to experts from John Hopkins Medicine, sunscreen helps prevent sunburn, skin cancer, and premature aging when used regularly. A sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 is best for everyday use. If you spend a lot of time outdoors, choose an SPF of 60 or greater. Sunscreen should be applied 15 minutes before going outside, whether you wear makeup or not. 

Healthy Diet

A healthy diet provides the body with essential nutrition, but particular foods help you achieve glowing skin. Listed are some of the best foods for healthy skin. 

  • Fatty fish, such as salmon, mackerel, and herring, are excellent foods for healthy skin. They have Omega-3 fatty acids necessary to help keep skin thick, supple, and moisturized. 

  • Avocados are a good source of Vitamin E and are high in healthy fats. Vitamin E helps protect your skin from oxidative damage. 

  • Sweet potatoes have beta carotene, which helps keep your skin healthy by acting as a natural sunblock.

  • Nuts and seeds are good sources of skin-boosting nutrients.

  • Broccoli is full of vitamins and minerals essential for skin health, including zinc, vitamin A, and vitamin C. 

  • Lastly, green tea may help protect your skin from damage and aging. Green tea has a potent compound called catechins which improves the health of your skin in several ways.
