It is time to deck the halls, and the cocktails too! Undoubtedly one of the most wonderful times of the year is here. And celebrating deliciously is certainly one of the best ways to celebrate. In my family, our holiday soirees and intimate dinner parties always begin with an aperitivo (or cocktail, as we say in english). We’re including some of our favorites for this holiday here. And while we’re at it, we are also talking great gift ideas for the carnivorous foodies on your nice list! We now offer steak boxes at Gene & Georgetti. Always fresh and never frozen these steaks are our signature cuts, aged just how we do it in the restaurant for the last 80 years. All of the tradition and taste come beautifully packaged and ready to be enjoyed by all.

Whiskey Smash cocktail recipe

Whiskey Smash

  • 2 oz. Jack Daniels Whiskey

  • 1 oz. Journeyman Apple Cider

  • 1/2 oz. Spiced Apple Cider Syrup

  • 2 Squeezed Lemon Slices

TO MAKE:

  • In a shaker, combine all the ingredients.

  • Shake.

  • Strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.

Pumpkin Spiced Espresso Martini

  • 1/2 oz. Vodka

  • 1 1/2 oz. Kahlúa

  • Splash of Bailey’s

  • 1 Shot of Espresso

  • 1/2 oz. pumpkin spice syrup

To Make:

  • In a shaker, combine the vodka, kahlúa, espresso and bailey's.

  • Shake vigorously.

  • Strain into a coupe glass. Garnish w/ 3 coffee beans.

  • To dress it up, add caramel sauce or some pumpkin spice.

  • 2 oz. Ketel One Vodka

  • 1/2 oz. Spiced Apple Syrup

  • 1 oz. Apple Cider

  • Splash of Gingerbeer

TO MAKE:

  • In a copper mule cup, combine all ingredients. Garnish with an Apple Slice.
